:: TATA Second Career ::

SCIP, a new initiative of the Tata Group, is aimed at women professionals who have taken a career break but are now keen to get back to work. SCIP projects will help the women professionals to transition back to work. The following are the key aspects of SCIP:

1	Project duration:	Projects will approximately involve 500 hours of engagement spread over 5-6 months on a flexi-time model.

2	Type of Projects:	Projects will be around LIVE business issues and will be offered by select Tata Group companies. The project may be offered in one or more of the following domain areas: a. Marketing b. Sales c. Advertising / Communications d. Human Resource Management e. Finance / Accounting f. Legal g. Manufacturing h. Engineering i. IT j. Corporate planning k. Other corporate functions Initially, projects will be limited to some of the domain areas mentioned above, depending upon the LIVE business issues that need to be addressed at this point of time.

3	Project Guide:	Women professionals selected for SCIP projects will get to work with the best of TATA managers who will be the guide till the end of the project.

4	Project stipend:	The selected SCIP professional will be paid project stipend up to Rs. 4 lakhs for the entire project. Appropriate tax deduction at source will be made before the project stipend is paid.

5	Ownership of Project IP:	Intellectual Property (IP) arising out of the project will be the property of the Tata Group.

6	Project Location:	Initially, SCIP projects will be available only in Mumbai/Navi Mumbai/Pune areas.

7	Management Development:	Selected professionals will undergo a residential development programme at the Tata Management Training Centre at Pune.

8	Finalisation of Projects:	SCIP projects will be offered by select Tata group companies. Final allotment of projects will be done by the SCIP TATA panel, whose decision will be final.

9	Project presentation to TATA leadership:	All SCIP professionals will get an opportunity to present their study findings to a select Tata Management Team at the end of the project.

10	HR Helpline during the project:	A dedicated HR helpline will be available to selected SCIP professionals for the entire duration of the project.

11	Work/Project Certificate:	All SCIP professionals who complete the project satisfactorily will be given a work/ project certificate by the Tata group company awarding the project.

12	Other Terms & Conditions:	The detailed list of Terms & Conditions attached to SCIP will be provided to the selected women professionals along with the offer.
